Terms of Use

Effective: September 26, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and JIAJI COMPANY LIMITED (Taiwan Tax ID 54255401), “we”, for the YOURIO apps for iPhone and Android, YOURIO Receiver for Mac and Windows, the YOURIO AI service and this website (together, “YOURIO”). By using YOURIO you agree to them. If you get YOURIO from the App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply.

1. What YOURIO is

  • Voice typing, translation, Memory and Magic Standard run on your device and need no account.
  • Magic Enhanced, Edit and Ask Memory use a cloud AI. You can connect your own AI provider with your own API key, or use YOURIO AI, our managed service, which needs a YOURIO account.

2. Your account

  • You sign in with Google or Apple. Keep that account secure; you are responsible for what happens under your YOURIO account.
  • One account is for one person. Creating accounts to get more free quota is not allowed.
  • You can delete your account in the app (Settings › Account & subscription). Deleting it does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.

3. Free plan and YOURIO Pro

  • Free: with your own API key, every AI feature is available with no limit from us (your provider bills you). With YOURIO AI, signed-in users get 2,000 words of AI quota a week.
  • YOURIO Pro is a monthly subscription with 1,000,000 words of YOURIO AI quota per billing period. The price is shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy, in your local currency (US$2.99 in the United States).
  • Automatic renewal. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically each month at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your store account settings.
  • Cancellation and refunds. When you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for; we do not give prorated or partial refunds for unused time or quota. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
  • We do not offer free trials or introductory prices at this time.

4. How AI quota works

  • Quota is counted in words (characters for Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Quota is measured in word-equivalents converted from actual AI processing, not simply the words you input. For typical dictation cleanup, each spoken word uses about one word of quota; sentences handled by on-device rules are free.
  • Only the text you send and the text the AI returns count, with returned text weighted more because it costs more to produce. Our own instructions to the AI, requests that fail and requests that time out are not counted. A result the app's quality check rejects still counts, because it was produced.
  • The free weekly quota resets every Monday at 00:00 in your time zone. Pro quota resets at each renewal. Unused quota does not carry over.
  • When quota runs out, Magic falls back to Magic Standard on your device, and Edit and Ask Memory with YOURIO AI pause until the quota resets.
  • We may change how quota is converted. Changes in your favor can apply at any time; changes against you apply only from your next billing period (or next week on the free plan), and we will announce them in advance.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use YOURIO to break the law or anyone's rights, to create content that is sexual involving minors, threatening, harassing or hateful, or to get around quota, rate limits or security. Do not call the YOURIO AI service from anything other than the YOURIO apps, resell it, or use it as a general-purpose AI API. Edit requests with YOURIO AI are checked by an automated content filter. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules; if you paid for Pro, the store's refund rules apply.

6. Your content and AI results

  • What you say and write stays yours. We do not claim ownership, and YOURIO AI does not store your text (see the Privacy Policy).
  • You give us permission to process the text you send to YOURIO AI only to return the result to you.
  • AI can make mistakes: it may misunderstand, leave things out or change meaning. Check results before you send or rely on them. You are responsible for what you insert and send.

7. Other services

If you connect your own AI provider or self-hosted model, your use of it is governed by that provider's terms, and it bills you directly. YOURIO AI uses OpenAI, with Google as a backup. Sign-in uses Google or Apple, and payments go through the App Store or Google Play.

8. Changes and availability

We improve YOURIO over time and may change, add or remove features, including the models YOURIO AI uses and the free quota. We aim for YOURIO AI to be available, but it can be interrupted; when it is, Magic falls back to Magic Standard. If we stop offering Pro, we will stop renewals and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.

9. Disclaimers and liability

YOURIO is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for YOURIO in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

10. App Store terms (iPhone)

  • These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for YOURIO or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for YOURIO. If YOURIO fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims relating to YOURIO, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection and intellectual property claims.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China). Disputes go to the Taiwan Taichung District Court (臺灣臺中地方法院) as the court of first instance, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect, and tell you in the app or by email for changes that matter. These terms are available in several languages; if they differ, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.
